Most Long Beach restaurants and shops are found at Shoreline Village. You can check out Wyland's famous Planet Ocean mural at Long Beach Sports Arena, or head to The Pike for a spin on the Ferris wheel. The 3-mile Long Beach Bike Path travels along the waterfront from Shoreline Village to Belmont Shore. Several fun Long Beach events are held throughout the year, includ...

Not every day is a glorious day when it comes to finds at the beach. When I have downer days like this one, I like to go to a park shortly thereafter, because I feel I'm more likely to find something of value. In this video, I went to Long Beach to metal detect in the sands. I left my DetectorPro Underwater in my bro-in-law's car so I wasn't able to metal detect in the water...but this would have been a great beach for that, only because it was very flat after the water crests...this means anything lost will likely stay in that area...sinking down a few inches, of course. This was also a pretty trashy beach. I did my duty as a detectorist and cleaned up my area, though. Although not a great day at the beach, I hope you enjoy the video none-the-less.
